HILLORY OTIS HARCUM

   Virginia Beach - Hillery Otis Harcum, 89, of the 1400 block of Cypress Ave. 
died August 20, 1987 in a hospital. Mr. Harcum, a native of Franklin, was a 
member of First Baptist Church. He retired from the Exxon Corp. after 38 years 
of service. He was a member of the Va. Beach Lions Club. Survivors include a 
wife, Pheriba Jennings Harcum, a daughter Doris H. Salmons of Va. Beach; a son 
Joseph C. Harcum of Chester, Va.: two brothers, Otto Harcum of Franklin and the 
Rev. Fred Harcum of Abingdon, Va. Six grandchildren, a great Grandchild. The 
funeral will be conducted at 11 am Sat. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, 
by the Rev. James Rittenhouse. Burial will be in Moyock Memorial Cemetery. The 
family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 pm today and at the residence.
