Holland and Sons, with her pastor, Rev. Floyd P. Davis of Courtland Baptist Church officiating, assisted by Rev. Kenneth E. Burke of Norfolk. During the services Mrs. C.W. Parker, Terry Gilbert, Floyd Davis and C.W. Richardson, accompanied on the organ by J. Edgar Weede, sang "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Asleep in Jesus." Mrs. Harcum was a lovable Christian woman, her life being an inspiration to all who knew her, for to know her was to love her. Besides her husband she is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Beale of Courtland; one brother, Floyd Beale, three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Bradshaw, Mrs. Annie Cooper of Franklin, Mrs. Reese Whitfield of Norfolk; four nieces and three nephews. Burial was made in Courtland Cemetery. There was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers, the casket being covered with a pall of lilies and pink rose buds. Pallbearers were: Roger Drake, Hubert Beale, Reese Whitfield, Otto Harcum, Ezra Gray, Linwood Edwards, Herbert Beale and Paul Rose.
