A native of Southampton County, he was a son of William T. and Mrs. Addie Vaughan Harcum and the husband of the late Mrs. Ruby Williamson Harcum. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by stepdaughter, Mrs. Helen Ezzell of Capron; three brothers, Otto Harcum of Franklin, Otis Harcum of Virginia Beach, and the Rev. Fred Harcum of Lebanon, VA; a sister, Mrs. R.L. Boone of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday between 3 and 5 pm.
