Hargroves, and a daughter of the late Levi and Mrs. Sarah C. Turner, died at her residence, 516 Harrison street, at 8:15 o’clock last night after an illness of several months. She was a native of Southampton County, but had lived here 18 years. She is survived by three brothers (sons*), W.W. Hargroves, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; B.L. Hargroves, of Lynchburg, and James Fenton Hargroves, of Portsmouth, three daughters, Mrs. H.W. Kinnin, and Mrs. T.T. Hancock, of Roanoke Rapids, and Mrs. I.E. Burnham, of Portlock; a sister, Mrs. C.H. Fitton, of Portsmouth; a brother, James M. Turner, of Norfolk; 24 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Sturtevant Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements which, will be announced later. *it says "brothers" but I think it should read "sons" {bs} Margaret Virginia (TURNER; Mrs. Samuel A.)
