All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ PATTIE BAILEY MURPHY HARGRAVE Mrs. Pattie Hargrave died Friday morning, March 9, at her home in this community after a long illness. She was fifty years old and had been a member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Hargrave was first married to William Murphy, who preceded her to the grave several years ago. She was married to G.L. Hargrave about three years ago. Besides her husband, Mr. Hargrave, she is survived by the following children, four sons, Charlie, Benny, Lee and Bailey Murphy; three daughters, Lucile, Gladys and Pattie Murphy, and one grandson; two brothers, C.R. Bailey and R.J. Bailey, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Hart, and Mrs. John Goodrich. The body was laid to rest Saturday afternoon at two o’clock in the family burial ground at two o’clock, the funeral being conducted by her Pastor, Rev. J.W. Stiff, assisted by Rev. C.W. Turner. The active pallbearers were J.H. Presson, W.E. Whitmore, H.H. Carroll, L.W Brittle, J.E. Eure and B.F. Knight. The honorary pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. "Pattie" Martha E.
