She was the widow of Aldon G. Hardy and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Respass of Oriental, N.C. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and had lived in Franklin more than 40 years. She has received her 500-hour pin from Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary as a volunteer worker. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. E.E. Britt of Murfreesboro, N.C., four sons, Aldon Hardy of Franklin, William F. Hardy of Noblesville, Ala., Joseph D. Hardy of Prattsville, Ala.; Charles Richard Hardy of Sanford, N.C.; 10 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Wayne Mumford [sic; Wade Munford] in the Chapel of W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
