Harte, widow of the late Rev. J.D. Harte, and a native of Franklin*, died suddenly Wednesday night at Huntsville, Alabama, in the home of her son Nelson N. Harte. Born in 1875, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander W. Norfleet of this town, Mrs. Harte is survived by Nelson N. Harte, a son and only child, two sisters, Mrs. A.L. Gardner and Mrs. J.C. Parker of Franklin, and two brothers, Dr. R.G. Norfleet of Norfolk and H.L. Norfleet of Havana, Cuba, besides two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harte, who was the youngest member of her family, was an active communicant of the Baptist Church, and assisted her husband faithfully in his pastoral work in the denomination, one of Rev. Mr. Harte’s pastorates being that of Beaver Dam Church in Isle of Wight County. Funeral services will be conducted from the Franklin Baptist Church tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2 o’clock, interment to be made in Poplar Spring Cemetery here, where her husband rests.
