Harrell, a former resident of this town and better known as Miss Kate Rawls, died at the age of 94 years, Friday morning, April 28, at the home of her niece, Mrs. R.F. Carney, Churchland, Va. The body was brought here Saturday morning and interred in the cemetery by the side of her husband. Services were conducted at the grave by Rev. J.P. Essex, assisted by Rev. C.H. Kidd. Nieces and nephews from a distance who accompanied the body were as follows: Mrs. Alice Franklin, Winston-Salem, N.C.; Mrs. A.L. Holland and daughters, Misses Patty, Lucy and Helen Holland, Port Norfolk; Mrs. Wardell Cherry, Churchland; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carney, Roanoke; Dr. Gavin Rawls, Carrsville; Dr. Julian Rawls and daughter, Miss Eleanor, Norfolk; R.F.
