All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT AMISS HARWELL COURTLAND - A graveside funeral service for Robert Amiss Harwell, 95, of Rt. 1 Courtland, was held Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, by the Rev. Harry Bunch. Harwell died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. R.B. Story at 8 a.m. A native of Dinwiddie County, he was the son of the late Robert Booth and Mrs. Rosa Webb Harwell and husband of the late Mrs. Catherine Oliver Harwell. He was a member of Newsoms Methodist Church and had been sheet metal contractor in Norfolk for many years before his retirement. Besides Mrs. Story, surviving is another daughter, Mrs. Cullen Johnson of Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Grace H. Wilson of Norfolk; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
