L. Horne Mrs. Averill B. Horne, 79, native of Southampton county, died early yesterday in a Richmond hospital after a long illness. She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. J.R. Bowden and Mrs. J.J. Pulley, both of this city, Mrs. J.D. McClenny, Dudley, Mrs. V.L. Lowe and Mrs. C.B. Davis, both of Richmond, and Mrs. Staley Lewis, Portsmouth; seven sons, G.T. Horne, L.H. Horne and J.E. Horne, all of Newport News, B.G. Horne, Ivor, W.H. Horne, Richmond, and L.L. Horne and J.R. Horne, both of Suffolk; one sister, Mrs. Ed Atkins, Ivor; one brother, Tom Felts, also of Ivor; 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 at the Tucker's Swamp Baptist church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Averilla Bernina (FELTS; Mrs. George W.)
