Horne Franklin, Jan 20 (special) - James Harrison Horne, aged and respected resident of the Ivor community died at his home this morning after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Bettie Horne; four daughters, Mrs. Emma C. Bowden, Mrs. B. R. Worrell, Mrs. B. A. Council and Mrs. L. C. Johnson all of the Zuni community; two sisters, Mrs. John Edwards and Mrs. Tommie Johnson and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JAMES H. HORNE Funeral services for James Harrison Horne, 74*, prominent citizen of Zuni, Isle of Wight County, who died Sunday were held Tuesday at Tucker Swamp Church, conducted by the Rev. Rufus Corbitt, assisted by the Rev. N.F Jacobs. Active pallbearers were G.T. Harrison, R.A., B.G., G.T., W.H. and J.R. Horne, W.J. Edwards and G.C. Raiford. Honorary pallbearers were L.C. Cook, T.L. Bain, G.C. Neblett, C.A. Holt, B.H. Laine, Percy Bradshaw, W.C. Andrews, B.W. Eley and Dr. E.M. Babb. Burial was in the church cemetery.
