All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NORMAN BRYAN HERRIN Norman Bryant Herrin, 46, assistant maintenance manager of the Norfolk outlets of Colonial Stores, Inc., died in a Baltimore hospital [...*] employee of Colonial Stores, Inc., for the past 24 years, he was a member of the Ward’s Corner Lions Club and of the Norfolk Chapter, Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Walston Herrin of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. J.E. Cooperider of Norfolk; his mother, Mrs. L.J. Hillyer of Rescue; four sisters, Mrs. L.B. Harmon of Richmond, Mrs. L.L. Minga of Smithfield, and Mrs. E.M. West and Mrs. A.F. Wills of Zuni; and four brothers, P.W. Herrin of Portsmouth, C.R. Herrin and W.N. Herrin of Norfolk, and J.C. Herrin of Miami, Fla. Services for Mr. Herrin were conducted at the Hollomon & Brown Funeral Chapel, Norfolk, at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon by Rev. Fred Laughon, Jr., followed by interment in the cemetery at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Ward’s Corner Lions Club. Active pallbearers were M.B. Anderson, Barr Attaway, Bill Davis, Jimmy Davis, Herbert Johnson, Bragg Ricks, Dave Woodson and Ernest Wulyer.
