He was the husband of Mrs. Fannie Vick Ivey of Southampton County. He had been a member of Barnes Methodist Church since childhood. Surviving besides his wife are one brother, Willie B. Ivey of Newsoms; two nieces and five nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in Newsoms Cemetery Sunday at 4:30 p.m. by the Rev. Homer W. Landis, pastor of Newsoms Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Beale Carter, John Worrell, Fred Worrell, Edwin Evans, Sr., Stanley Myrick, Marshall Vick and Willie Drake.
