MARY ANN BAKER JAKEMAN

   Franklin - Funeral services for Mary Ann Baker Jakeman, 60, were held 
Friday in Wright Funeral Home by Rev. Ira D. Hudgins.  Burial was in Poplar 
Spring Cemetery.

   Jakeman died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   She was the widow of George A. Jakeman and a native of Suffolk. She was a 
member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Ranson of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Linda Drake of Newsoms; a son George A. Jakeman Jr. of Portsmouth, N.C.; a 
sister, Mrs. Rozelle Harrell of Waynesville, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
