Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Jakeman died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of George A. Jakeman and a native of Suffolk. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jane Ranson of Norfolk and Mrs. Linda Drake of Newsoms; a son George A. Jakeman Jr. of Portsmouth, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Rozelle Harrell of Waynesville, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
