ADELBERT FRANCIS JONES

   CAPRON - Adelbert Francis Jones, 78, died Wednesday in his home.  He was 
the husband of the former Katherine Matthews and formerly lived in Washington.

   Surviving besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Moncure Francis of 
Capron and Mrs. Addien Adkins of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Willard Bowker of 
Eddystone, Pa., two brothers, Alfonso Jones and Clarence Jones of 
Philadelphia; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

   The body was at Echols Funeral Home, Emporia.  A funeral service was held 
Friday at 2 p.m. in Capron Methodist Church.  Burial was in Capron Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Stuart Starke, Sheppard Bell, Jr., A.L. Pope, Vernie 
Francis, Herbert Francis, L.T. Francis, Reese Withers, Junious Pope, Jr., R.C. 
Council.
