JONES & Child PORTSMOUTH NEWS LEADING EVENTS COMPILED [...] Mr. Frank Jones, a conductor on the Seaboard Air Line, lost by death on Thursday his infant child. His wife is also critically ill at his house on Green street. ****************************************************************************** PORTSMOUTH NEWS [...] Death of Mrs. Jones. In our yesterday's issue announcement was made of the death of a child of Mr. Frank Jones, a conductor on the Seaboard Air Line. At the same time we stated that Mrs. Jones was critically ill. To-day we are called upon to announce the death of Mrs. Jones, who died yesterday evening about 7 o'clock after an illness of only a few days. Mother and babe are now united in that better land and the afflicted husband is left to mourn his loss. Mrs. Jones was formerly from Southampton county and was a Miss Alice Mac Klonne [sic; McLemore]. She has a brother, who is Clerk of the Court in that county.
