All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ FANNIE HORTENSE BOYETTE COGGSDALE JONES Mrs. Fannie Hortense Boyette Jones, 83, a life-long resident of Franklin, died at the home on Walnut Street of her son, James Andrew Jones, on Monday, August 31, after several years of ill health. The deceased was a daughter of the late Timothy and Martha Vaughan Boyette of Southampton County. She was twice married, first to Edward Coggsdale of Southampton County and later to William Henry Jones of Franklin. She was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. G.B. Tebault of Norfolk, Mrs. Joseph C. Jones of Nansemond County, Mrs. Neal K. Sleeper of Takoma Parker, Md., Mrs. N.M. Hawa of Franklin, Mrs. Al Korahaes of Norfolk, Mrs. Sam Theodokias of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Mrs. L.D. King of Chuckatuck; two sons Robert Ellis Coggsdale and James Andrew Jones, both of Franklin; 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Thomas of Miami, and two brothers; W.T. Boyette of Suffolk and Charles T. Boyette of Windsor. Funeral services were in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The rites were conducted by Rev. Harvey L. Carnes, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, and Rev. H.S. Hardcastle, pastor of the Oakland Christian Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Korahaes, James Korahaes. C.H. Loyerly, J.E. Tebault and Stanley Tebault, all of Norfolk, Nick Theodokias of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Joseph Hawa and William Hawa of Franklin.
