Jones, 76, died early Tuesday in a hospital. A native of Nansemond County, he was a son of William R. and Mrs. Pattie March Jones. He was a member of South Quay Baptist Church. Surviving are four brothers, Jimmie Jones, W.E. Jones, J.C. Jones, and Paul Jones of Franklin; and seven sisters, Mrs. P.W. Davidson and Mrs. N.M. Hawa of Franklin, Mrs. Pattie French and Mrs. L. Korades of Norfolk, Mrs. Margaret Theodorakis of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. N.K. Sleeper of Tacoma, Ark., and Mrs. L.D. King of Orange City, Fla. A funeral service was held Thursday at 4 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. L.F. Smith of South Quay Baptist Church. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Hugh Gibson, Frank Daniels, Rochell Cutchins, Carroll Howell, G.F. Milteer and Clarence Saunders. Johnnie S.
