MAMIE REBECCA COGGSDALE JONES 

     Mamie R. Jones 

  SUFFOLK - Mamie Rebecca Jones, 93, of the 1200 block of Camp Pond Road, 
died July 23, 1989, in a Franklin hospital. 

  Mrs. Jones, a native of Nansemond County, was a member of Franklin 
Congregational Christian Church.  She was the widow ol Joseph C. Jones. 

  Survivors include two daughters, Ruby J. Lassiter of Suffolk and Helen 
Moreland of Portsmouth; four sisters, Vashti Hawa of Franklin, Margaret 
Theodrakis [sic; Theodorakis] of Murfreesboro, N.C., Katherine Korahaes of 
Norfolk, and Irene Sleeper of Holiday, Fla.; a brother, James A. Jones of 
Hampton; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

  The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home, 
Franklin, by the Rev. Samuel Askew.  Burial will be in Southampton Memorial 
Park.  Friends may join the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral 
home.

Rather, her father was Edward Thomas COGGSDALE.
