Jones lost by death their little eleven-months old son, Melvin Davis Jones, Tuesday, June 6. The baby was ill only a few days and the bereaved parents have the universal sympathy of our townspeople in their sorrow, which comes to them with peculiar force in the sudden taking away of their little one. Burial services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. C.H. Rowland, assisted by Rev. J.A. Chapman. Melvin Davis JONES, son of E. Philip & M. Naomi D.
