Burial was in Concord Cemetery Jones died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. in a Concord hospital after a short illness. A native of Franklin, he was a son of John Paul and Mrs. Odell Rawls Jones and the husband of Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Coltrane Jones. He was a Methodist, an Army veteran of World War I, a member of the Concord Rotary Club, a graduate of William and Mary College and a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Branson Coltrane Jones and John Paul Jones II of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. George Watkins and Mrs. Wayland Stephenson of Franklin; and four grandchildren.
