All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM HENRY JONES William Henry Jones, 83*, a retired farmer and well-known resident of Franklin, died at his home on Walnut Street on Thursday of last week following an illness of several months. He was a native of Nansemond County but had been living in Franklin for 25 years. He was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church. Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Fannie Boyette Jones; nine daughters, Mrs. Stella Holland, Mrs. Marcia Davidson, Mrs. Sadie Davidson and Mrs. N.M. Hawa of Franklin; Mrs. M. Theodorakis of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. E.C. French and Mrs. Al Korehaus of Norfolk, Mrs. R.H. Waggoner of Washington and Mrs. L.D. King of Suffolk; two step-daughters, Mrs. J.C. Jones of Franklin and Mrs. G.B. Teabout of Norfolk; six sons, Tom and James Jones of Suffolk, Willie E. Jones, Johnnie I. Jones, Joseph C. Jones and Paul C. Jones of Franklin and a stepson, R.E. Coggsdale of Franklin. Twenty-eight grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at the Holland Funeral Home here last Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
