JOHN BURNETT JOHNSON, JR.

   Franklin - Funeral services for J. Burnett Johnson, 74, were held Friday 
in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. Ira D. Hudgins.

   Johnson, a lifelong resident of Franklin and the husband of Virginia Smith 
Johnson, died Wednesday evening in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Stutts and a sister, Mrs. 
Robert Allport, and four grandchildren, all of Franklin.
