BETTY BLOWE* JOHNSON 

   A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Blowe Johnson was conducted Thursday at 
1:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins 
of Franklin Baptist Church.  Burial was in Capron Cemetery, Capron.

   Pallbearers were W.H. Rutledge Sr., Everett Rutledge, Jerome Goodrich, 
Richard Jernigan, David Johnson, Robert Johnson, Chuck Olds, Alley Brandon, 
Bagley Edwards and John Bryant.

   Mrs. Johnson, 63, died early Sunday in her home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the wife of Johnnie G. Johnson 
and a daughter of William Henry and Mrs. Molly Britt Blowe.

   She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Edgar Allen Johnson of the Army 
in Vietnam; two brothers, James H. Blowe of Hampton and Clifton Lee Blowe of 
Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Lois Coggsdale of Roanoke Rapids.
