All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ELLA MAE JOHNSON Miss Ella Mae Johnson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dellie Johnson of Handsom, departed this life on February 19, 1945, after an illness of several months. She was a member of Mount Horeb Methodist Church. Surviving her are one brother, Sidney H. Johnson; 3 grand-nephews, George, Milton and Oscar Johnson, Jr., of the Methodist Orphanage, Richmond; one niece, Mrs. Johnnie Wilson, of Franklin and several cousins. Funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Johnson, at Handsom, Wednesday, February 21, by her pastor, Rev. J.W. Morrison. Burial was in the old family plot near there. Active pallbearers were, George D. Hedgepeth, G.H. Ritter, Karl Scott, Herman Story, Wilson Story and Burtenelle Johnson. Honorary bearers were friends of the deceased.
