Johnson WINDSOR - Floyd Herbert Johnson, 58, of Duck's Trailer Park, died Sunday, 31 Jul 1983 in a Norfolk nursing home. A native of Isle of Wight County and a Navy veteran of World War II, he was a mechanic with Gwaltney Motor Co. in Smithfield for 21 years. He was a member and deacon of Burdette Baptist Church and a member of Suffolk Moose Lodge 141. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Vasser Johnson; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn J. Nisbet of Norfolk; three sons, William H. Johnson and Floyd W. Johnson, both of Zuni, and Donald Ray Johnson of Windsor; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys J. Parker, Mrs. Virgie J. Crumpler and Mrs. Myrtle J. Rainey, all of Franklin; a brother, Raymond C. Johnson of Elizabethtown, N.C.; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday 3 Aug 1983 at Burdette Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Cribb and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends tonight 2 Aug 1983 from 7 to 9 at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin. ****************************************************************************** Floyd Johnson WINDSOR - Floyd Herbert Johnson, 58, a native of Isle of Wight County, died Sunday in a hospital.
