Johnson, aged 24, died in Williamsburg Saturday, May 17, after an illness of six months duration. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Johnson of Sedley and is survived by his parents, five brothers and five sisters, his grandmother, Mrs. Saphronia Johnson and many relatives and friends. Mr. Johnson was a industrious and prosperous farmer, a good neighbor, a Christian young man. He was a member of the Sedley Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted by his Pastor, Rev. R.P. Welch, and by Rev. W.M. Hall of Ivor at his late home near Sedley Monday afternoon at two o’clock. Appropriate hymns were sung and a solo by Mrs. W.S. Urquhart. The body bearers were Edwin Babb, B.F. Hancock, Jr., H.S. Hancock, Willie Taylor, Luther Lowe, Charlie Gay, Otis Crumpler and J.D. Owen. Burial was made in the family plot in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. George W.
