Holland & Sons Funeral Home. Burial was in the family plot at Black Jack Cemetery near Como, N.C. Pallbearers were Johnny Davis, Oscar Riley, Foy Hendricks, Butch Riley, Douglas Byers, and Russell Martin. Johnson, 83, died Monday afternoon in a Norfolk hospital after a brief illness. A native of Como, he was a retired farmer. He was the husband of Mrs. Nannie Bett Story Johnson and a son of Albert and Mrs. Lydia Griffin Johnson. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Hazel Fletcher of Virginia Beach and Raleigh E. Johnson of Murfreesboro; a brother, Arthur Johnson of Capron; a sister, Mrs. Haley Pope of Boykins; 10 grandchildren; and a great grandchild. His parents are also buried there.
