Johnson FRANKLIN - - Leigh W. Johnson, 65, of 105 Southampton Road, died Sunday at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Franklin, he was the husband of Iva Cummings Johnson. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, and co-owner of Johnson-Conwell Truck Lines. Besides his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Laura Terissa Atherton of Quincy, Mass.; a son, Leigh W. Johnson, Jr., of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. George W. Conwell of Franklin, and Miss Helen K. Johnson of Hampton; a brother, A. Shelbourne Johnson of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Poplar Springs Cemetery by the Revs. Ben Duffy and Ira D. Hudgins. W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home has charge.
