LOTTIE AVENT JOHNSON

   A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Lottie Avent Johnson is scheduled for 
11 a.m. Thursday morning in Poplar Spring Cemetery by Dr. Ira D. Hudgins of 
Franklin Baptist Church. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home will be in charge.

   Pallbearers will be William S. Cuthriell, Marion L. Tyler, H.L. Johnson Jr., 
Maurice Robinson, Dick C. Pool and Edwin W. Beale.

   Mrs. Johnson, 88, died Monday in a Newport News nursing home after a short 
illness.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Mills Henry Johnson and 
the daughter of Debroe C. and Mrs. Adelia Sykes Avent of Greenville County.

   She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Surviving are one son, W. Debroe Johnson; a stepson, Henry Lloyd Johnson of 
Franklin; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ors Lee Keeter and Miss Elma R. Johnson of 
Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Nolier Bolter of Margarettsville, N.C.; four 
grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; ten step-
great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
