JOHNSON ZUNI - Funeral services for Lewis Clinton (Buddy Boy) Johnson, who died at his home Saturday afternoon after a brief illness, were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield. The Rev. Donald R. McNair and the Rev. Harry Christie were to be the officiating ministers. Burial, with full Masonic rites, was in the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. A life-long resident of Isle of Wight County, he was a merchant and a farmer. He was a partner in the Ivor Oil Co. and the Bracey and Johnson Co. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and the Blackwater Masonic Lodge 144, Zuni. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Horne Johnson; one son, Lewis Homer Johnson of Zuni; one daughter, Mrs. Joe E. Hobbs of Zuni; two sisters, Mrs. William Spain of Suffolk and Mrs. Grover Harrison of Zuni, and a grandson. ****************************************************************************** LEWIS CLINTON JOHNSON ZUNI - Lewis Clinton (Buddy Boy) Johnson, 68, died in his home Saturday afternoon. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Thomas and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Horne Johnson. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and Zuni Masonic Lodge. He was a merchant and a farmer 45 years and a partner in Ivor Oil Co. and Bracey & Johnson Co. He is survived by his wife, Eva Horne Johnson, a son, Lewis Homer Johnson, and a daughter, Mrs. Joe E. Hobbs, both of Zuni; two sisters, Mrs. William Spain of Suffolk and Mrs. Grover Harrison of Zuni; and a grandson. A funeral service was held Monday at 3 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Donald McNair and the Rev. Harry Christie. Burial was in Tucker Swamp Church cemetery.
