Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. C.L. Gatling. Burial was in the Barrett family cemetery near Black Creek. Pallbearers were Charlie Wayne Jefferies, Clifford A. Hedgepeth, James W. Holt, Ronnie Johnson, Haywood O. Barrett and Billy Warren. Mrs. Johnson, 75, died Tuesday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of John Frank Johnson and a daughter of Benjamin L. and Mrs. Mary Ann Bryant Barrett. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C.B. Jefferies and Mrs. Virginius L. Vick of Franklin, and Mrs. Doris L. Ellis of Pompano Park, Fla.; three sons, Alton L. Johnson of Zuni, James L. Johnson of Franklin, and Frank E. Johnson of Martinburg, W. Va.; a brother, R.P. Barrett, and a sister, Mrs. M. Bell Drewry, both of Zuni; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
