She was the widow of Herbert Johnson and a daughter of Gregory and Mrs. Martha Gilliam Fuller. She was a member of Vincent’s Grove Methodist Church. Surviving are eight sons, D.E. Johnson of Courtland, J.W. Johnson and David L. Johnson of Capron, Josh B. Johnson of South Norfolk, Johnnie G. Johnson and Eddie Johnson of Franklin, Otis Johnson of Windsor, and Robert B. Johnson of Carrsville; a daughter, Mrs. Amos Drake of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 24 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, by Rev. J.S. Peebles, pastor of the Capron Methodist Church, and Rev. Thomas W. Downing, pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church. Burial was in Capron Cemetery.
