He was a native of Branchville. Besides his parents, surviving are four sisters, Miss Joyce Johnson, Miss Phyllis Johnson, Miss Sylvia Jane Johnson and Miss Connie Rose Johnson; and two brothers, Walter James Johnson and James Earl Johnson, all of the home; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie N. Johnson of Margarettesville, N.C. A funeral service was held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Pallbearers were Marvin Melvin and Archie Johnson.
