Mr. Johnson, a resident of Franklin for 25 years, was associated with the Hygeia Ice Company as business manager, serving in this capacity for a number of years. He was an active member of the American Legion Post of Franklin, having served in World War I for many months. He was a member of High Street Methodist Church. A son of Mrs. Mary Krueger Johnson and the late Gus Johnson, of Chicago, Ill. He married Miss Virgie Edwards, of this city, who survives him. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Johnson Eason, of Carrsville; one grandson, Theoroda Paulette Eason, Jr., of Carrsville; two brothers, Clarence Johnson, of Chicago, and Clifford Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Kenneth Harris, of Alexandria. Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. Ernest W. Aaron, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson and the Rev. Cecil Clifton. The pallbearers were Cecil Vaughan, 3rd, John Norfleet, Clyde C. Edwards, Stanley Edwards, Herman Bowles, C.C. Blythe, Jr., Irvin Blythe and Ryland Cobb.
