ROBERT LEE JOHNSON

   HANDSOM - A funeral service was held for Robert L. Johnson, Sunday at 2:30 
p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert E. Abbott. 
Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park.

   Johnson, 79, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died Thursday at 
5:30 p.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital.  He was a retired farmer.

   A son of Henry L. and Mrs. Mary Hedgepeth Johnson of Southampton County. 
He was a member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church.

   Surviving are two brothers, C. Johnson and E.R. Johnson of Hampton; and 
three sisters, Mrs. S.J. Gilliam and Mrs. G.P. Baker of Hampton and Mrs. L.L. 
Spencer of Hamlet, N.C.
