She was a daughter of the late Elijah G. and Mary Anna Williams Joyner of this county and was a member of Whitehead's Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, J.L. Joyner of Courtland and Floyd T. Joyner of Ivor. Funeral services were conducted at the grave in the Courtland cemetery on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. Otis L. Gilliam, assisted by Rev. L.M. Kanipe, pastor of the Courtland Baptist Church, and Rev. J.L. Blankenship, pastor of the Ivor Methodist Church. Active pallbearers were John M. Britt, C.W. Davis, Emmett Davis, Roscoe Edwards, Marion Joyner, Lloyd Niblett, Dr. E.F. Reese, Jr., and W.H. Story.
