JOYNER Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Joyner, 65, who died at his farm near Sedley on Wednesday, June 19, were conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Millfield Baptist Church by Rev. J. Sidney Cobb of Windsor. Mr. Joyner, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, was the husband of the late Daisy Mae Joyner, and the son of the late Frank and Martha Lankford Joyner of Southampton county. He was a member of Millfield Baptist Church near Ivor. Surviving are a son, Luke Joyner of the U.S. Army; a sister, Mrs. Annie Stasie Bradshaw of Sedley; and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial was in the family cemetery near Sedley, and pallbearers were Raby Cornwell, Robert Harrup, J.B. Lowe, William Joyner, H.W. Wade, Joe Raiford, Howard Hancock and Ollie Johnson.
