Joyner, 67, retired farmer, died Thursday morning in his home here after a heart attack. A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Clarence C. and Mrs. Mary Corbett Joyner. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving is a brother, Charles Edward Joyner, of Roanoke. A funeral service will be held in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, today at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Gerald Voye, pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Tucker Swamp Church Cemetery near Zuni.
