BARBARA BRASWELL JOYNER

   FRANKLIN - A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday for Barbara Braswell Joyner, 
48, in Burdette Baptist Church by the Revs. Larry Cribb and Edward Thornton.

   Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home had charge.

   She died Aug. 25 in a Norfolk hospital.  A native of Isle of Wight County, 
she lived at Route 2, Franklin.

   She was a member of Burdette Baptist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, Edwin J. Joyner; a daughter, Lynn Joyner 
Ivey of Zuni; a son, Edwin Glen Joyner of Franklin; her mother, Bunie Turner 
Braswell; two sisters, Betty B. Spivey and Martha B. Holland; and a brother, 
Wayne T. Braswell, all of Windsor; and a grandson.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Tidewater Chapter of the American 
Kidney Foundation.
