Joyner of Zuni, who died Thursday night at Lakeview hospital, Suffolk, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Waverly Thursday afternoon, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at the I.O. Hill and company funeral home until 11:30 Sunday morning. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30am Sunday and will remain their until the services are completed. Mr. Joyner is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Joyner; three daughters, Mrs. G.E. Voight, Newport News, Mrs. H.M. Harden of Norfolk, and Mrs. L.B. Whitemore, Portsmouth; five granchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Essie A. Bland of Zuni, Mrs. Sally Stephenson of Windsor; one brother, Paul W. Joyner of Zuni; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Tucker's Swamp church and has been a deacon 40 years. Joyner were held Sunday, Dec 9, at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. William H. Corbitt and the Rev. L.E. Holzbach. Pallbearers were R.M. Doles, Percy Bradshaw, Ocie Bradshaw, E.T. Rowell, Morrison Butler, Dick Powell, Shirley Holland and Hurley Clark. Burial was in Tucker Swamp Church Cemetery.
