All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EDWARD LEE JOYNER Funeral services for Edward Lee Joyner, 24, son of Charlie and Dana Cutchin Joyner of Sedley, who died in his sleep on Sunday morning, September 10, were held the following Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Franklin Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Randolph Gregory, and Rev. Melvin Dollar, pastor of Union Christian Church, officiating. In addition to his parents the deceased is survived by one brother, J.C. Joyner, and two nephews, Robert Glyne and Joseph Charles Joyner of Handsom. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, with the following pallbearers: Luther Barden, Edward Sykes and James Joyner of Franklin, and Sam Kello, Oscar Porter and Jack Umphlett of Windsor. ****************************************************************************** EDWARD LEE JOYNER Edward Lee Joyner, 24, son of Charlie and Dana Cutchins Joyner of the Franklin community, died in his sleep Saturday night, September 9 [sic*], after suffering ill health for some years. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, J.C. Joyner of Handsom, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Holland Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock, with Rev. Randolph Gregory officiating. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
