MARY ELIZABETH LOWE JOYNER

   COURTLAND - A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Lowe Joyner was 
held Thursday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Bobby Tyson in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.

   Mrs. Joyner of Moreland St., Courtland, died Wednesday at 2 a.m. in Norfolk 
General Hospital after a brief illness.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of William Thomas Joyner 
Jr. and a daughter of James and Mrs. Martha Bunch Lowe.

   She was a member of the Courtland United Methodist Church.

   She is survived by a son, William Thomas Joyner III of Courtland; five 
sisters, Mrs. Martha Pippins of Windsor, Mrs. Gladys Beaton of Suffolk, Mrs. 
Violet Ercanbrack of Florida, Mrs. John Copeland and Mrs. Dan Blythe of 
Franklin; and one brother, Ernest B. Lowe of Suffolk.

   W.J.M. Holland Sons Funeral Home was in charge.
