ELIZABETH FRANCES JOYNER 

DEATH OF A CHILD 

   Little Elizabeth Frances Joyner, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Joyner, 
died at her home near Courtland, Wednesday, January 2, age 18 months, who was a 
sweet, bright little child and loved by all who knew her. 

A treasure from our home is gone, 
  Gone to her home above, 
Gone to be God's Angel 
  And to dwell in His infinite love, 
But our home is so sad without you, dearest baby, 
  Your face never more to see. 
For a little place in our home is vacant, 
  Which never, never can be filled, 
But sleep on daring baby
  in your home not made of hands, 
For why you were taken from us, 
  Someday we will understand.  HER PARENTS 


Elizabeth Frances JOYNER, daughter of John L. & Fannie R. (COLE) JOYNER, 
b. 18 Jun 1916, Southampton Co., d. 2 Jan 1918, Southampton Co., 
interred in the COLE family cemetery, "Indian Woods," Hwy. 58, 
marked in Riverside Cemetery (Sect. II, Plot 13), Courtland, 
donated obit, publication unknown
