Effie Jane (COBB; Mrs. Wm. Effie had seven daughters & step-daughters: Lizzie Mae (JOYNER; Mrs. Rbt. Allen) RAIFORD was actually her step-daughter; she & Allen are buried in Annex 3, Section B, Plot 68A. Several of their children & her mother are buried a JOYNER family cemetery (VIII-31). Daughter Mary George married Emmett RAIFORD; they are buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. Daughter Mae lived in Norfolk; the obit ("Tidewater News," Oct. 27, 1966, p. 6; q.v.) of her sister Ruby Bell (JOYNER; Mrs. Albutt L.) GARDNER gives her surname as BONADITA, rather than VONAVITA. http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/obits/j520r4ob.txt Her husband's obit ("Tidewater News," Mar. 10, 1944), with records of both of his marriages appended, is posted at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/obits/j560w4ob.txt Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by Mrs. Bruce Saunders (bs4403@verizon.net), and re-formatted by File Manager Matt Harris. file at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/obits/j560e8ob.txt
