JAMES HENRY JOYNER, JR

James Henry Joyner, Jr., of Courtland, died Thursday, February 10, 1977, in 
Southampton Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of Mrs. Eleanor Fisher, 
and the son of Mrs. Mary Turner Joyner.  He was a member of Courtland United 
Methodist Church; Army Veteran of WWII; and a merchant.  Surviving besides 
his wife and mother are two daughters, Mrs. Claire Heifert of Richmond and 
Mrs. Grace Drake of Newsomes; two sons, James H. Joyner III of Roanoke and 
Mike Joyner of Courtland, one brother William Thomas Joyner of Courtland; 
one grandchild.  A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 A.M. at the 
graveside in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. Harry L. Kidd Jr. 
Wright Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
