Joyner, 67, a farmer of the Franklin community, died at his home Wednesday night, climaxing a long illness. The son of the late E.J. Joyner and Indiana V. Joyner, Mr. Joyner is survived by a sister, Minnie V. Joyner; four brothers, R.H., W.L., J.R. and E.E. Joyner, and several nieces and nephews, all of Franklin or the community. Services were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from Joyner Christian Church by the pastor, the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Suffolk, with interment in Poplar Spring Cemetery here. Pallbearers were H.L. Vaughan, J.T. Vaughan, Franklin Rose, F.P. Rose, S.N. Joyner, Dr. A.P. Cutchin, J.E. Boyette and J.G. Joyner.
