Mr. Joyner, an employee of Franklin Motor Company for a number of years, has a host of friends and his presence here will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Mattie D. Joyner; one daughter, Carrie Lee; two sons, George and Ellis Lee Joyner, all of Franklin; father, J.B. Joyner, of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Edwards and Mrs. W.R. Mumford, of Petersburg; two brothers, Nurney and Burgess Joyner of Franklin. Funeral services were held at the grave Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. Sycamore Cemetery, by Rev. R.D. Stephenson.
