MATTIE STORY JOYNER Mrs. Mattie Story Joyner, 50*, a resident of Franklin, died at her home here on Sunday night, February 11, after a lingering illness. She was the widow of Samuel Lee Joyner, and the daughter of the late Norman and Ella Turner Story* of this county. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, George and Ellis Lee Joyner of Franklin; one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Lee Wood of Franklin; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Joyner of Franklin and Mrs. Allen Story of Petersburg; and three brothers, J.O. Story of Franklin and E.T. and E.L. Story of Hampton. Last rites were held at the Holland Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. L.M. Kanipe of Courtland, pastor of the deceased, officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at Sycamore Church, the pallbearers being Wilford Davidson, Ryland Duck, George Soloman, Jack Story, Jasper Story and Rubin Story. Mattie Dahlia (STORY; Mrs. Samuel L.)
