QUINTELLA ESTELLE VICK JOYNER

   COURTLAND - Mrs. Quintella Vick Joyner, 84, died Saturday morning in 
the home of her son, Marion R. Joyner.

   A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Walter and Mrs. 
Mattie Cobb Vick and the widow of Herbert L. Joyner.  She was a member 
of Courtland Methodist Church.

   Besides the son with whom she lived, she is survived by two other sons, 
Jesse H. Joyner of Norfolk and Herbert O. Joyner of Courtland; three 
daughters, Mrs. Willie Miles, Mrs Julia Newsome and Mrs. George Lamb of 
Capron; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

   A funeral service was held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold M. Fuss.  Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery 
in Sedley.

   Active pallbearers were: William M. Wright, Grover Montgomery, Charles 
M. Robinson, Wayne Stephenson, Thomas E. Goodrich, Marion R. Joyner Jr., 
Robert Wayne Pope.
